A Walk Down the Garden Path: Blue Floral Garlands and Basket weave Tablecloth

Chains of medium blue flowers are surrounded by a basket weave-like ring of brown and blue triangles in this breathtaking cloth. On the outer rim, is a darling, zig-zag that adds warmth and charm to this simply elegant cloth. As with all quality linens, attention to detail was maximized  by the the border of blue and brown shark tooth shapes that encircle the tablecloth like a frame of a pretty picture.

This cloth is hand stamped and has been displayed on my mother's kitchen table frequently over the years.

Tutti-Frutti: Fruit Bowls and Flower Tablecloth

You'll be having lots of fruity fun when this tablecloth is placed on your table. I can just imagine the gab fests, dinners, and letters written when this fruit-tabulous beauty was placed on the table.

This cloth features garlands of white and cornflower blue daisies with lovely grass green foliage. The overflowing bowls of deliciously ripe, red, apples, glossy, plump, grapes, and sweet succulent cherries invite the viewer to begin to feel a quiet rumble of their tummy.

The showstopping border of grass green, red, and cornflower blue scallops encase sweet daisies that flank the inside borders.

This dazzling cloth would make Carmen Miranda green with envy.

Garden Party Ready!: Lime Green, Scalloped Tablecloth with Sprays of Flowers

This tablecloth is garden party ready! The bright, lime green, scalloped center adds a playfulness to this simply chic cloth that features sprays of rose and Asiatic lilies. This sublime cloth conjures up memories of  a gentler, slower time when tea was meant to be sipped casually and Sunday was a time to get in the car and take a drive.

Take a Look In a Book: Best Books About Vintage Tablecloths

Tablecloths are more than a pretty pattern! The following books are some of the best price guides for those looking to date and estimate the value of their tablecloths. Unfortunately, many are fairly old, so the market value and collector’s interest may have increased or decreased since these books were published.

Take a gander at these volumes to locate information on both pricing and approximate age of your textile treasures. These books offer beautiful photographs and detailed information on each cloth.

Cloth of Interest: Vintage Red and Brown Floral Tablecloth

An interesting color combination of a muddy brown and a barn red make this tablecloth a standout! Small barn red daffodils and other flowers dally along the sides, as cubes of daisy-like flowers in a quilt-block design emerge like a medallion in the center. Stems of smaller daisy-like flowers frame of the edge of the medallion to create an impressive design.

Don’t Mum-ble: Vintage Pink and Blue Mum Tablecloth

Marvelous warm pink and blue mum chains rim this white tablecloth with a quaint starburst of smaller mums in the center. The border receives extra attention through the use of even more mums of a similar pattern sitting idly in small clumps in the corners.

Glad Tidings to You: Vintage Blue Gladiolas Tablecloth

This is by far one of the most beautiful and exotic specimens of tablecloths I have seen! This tropical stunner contains three smashing shades of blue ranging from a decadent navy to a baby boy blue. Swirls of feathery fronds decorate the middle and boughs of magenta pink- leaved white glads proudly prickle the edges.
